Abstract

Mathematics is identical with calculations which makes the students bored. This study aims to find out about the improvement of students' mathematics learning outcomes through Cooperative Script learning methods in class VIII 3 N SMP Batang Hari. This type of research is classroom action research. This research was conducted from January to February in the even semester of the 2016/2017 academic year for students of class VIII, the numbers of the students are 27 students. Data collection tools in the form of test sheets are observation sheets and documentation. The data analysis technique is calculating in percentage. This study uses two cycles, it starts from planning, implementation, observation andreflection. The results of the Precycle data analysis were 75 average, in cycle I 81, cycle II 84, it showed that using Cooperative scripts in learning mathematics had increased with the act by giving them rewards. In general, the Cooperative Script model can improve mathematics learning outcomes in class VIII of SMP 3 Batang Hari.
