PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR MELALUI BUKU LKS MATEMATIKA PADA SISWA SMPN 3 BATANG HARI

Abstract

Motivation is one of the factors that can be influenced the learning outcomes. Motivation of class VIII students of Batang Hari Junior High School 3 in the mathematics learning process is still low. It can be seen when students do the exercises before being given the students worksheet book (conventional cycle). The book used is still difficult to understand, both in terms of language and the questions lists that are not yet in accordance with the cognitive level of class VIII students of Batang Hari Junior High School 3. In addition, the source book has also not been able to construct students' initial knowledge. In the second cycle students are given math training in using LKS (students work sheet) . The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation of students after using workbooks (LKS) based on mathematics constructivism. This type of research is quantitative descriptive by distributing motivation questionnaires to students. The questionnaire analysis showed that the learning motivation of students by using constructivism-based Mathematics LKS was high, it is > 60.
